Would you like to make a difference in your community? Would you like to bless others who need a special touch of kindness? Our sewing group is just the place to start. Whether you have been sewing or crafting for years or haven't any experience at all, we can use you.
Our group makes all kinds of things--from pillows and pillowcases to memory care mats, from children's comfort tote bags to walker bags, from heating wraps to afghans and quilts, from toy animals to therapy puppets. We need people to cut fabric, lay out quilt squares, sew basic lines with a sewing machine, tie quilts, hand stitch, knit or crochet hats and afghans, and more. If you would like to show the love of Christ to children and adults in hospitals, people who have been touched by trauma, folks in nursing homes and Alzheimer units, and others, please consider joining the Women's Sewing Group.Where: North Commons (Some work like knitting, crocheting, and cutting quilt squares can be done at home.)When: 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 10:00am – 2:00pm. Lunch is at noon; bring your lunch and beverage.Have a question? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
