We're a community of ordinary people following Jesus together in Northern Colorado. Here's our story, what we're about and the team we'd love for you to meet.
Charlie Sandberg has been part of Faith Church since 2006, when he and his wife, Liz, moved to Fort Collins from Rochester, Minnesota. He spent 12 years leading Faith's college ministry before serving as Teaching Pastor and eventually stepping into the role of Lead Pastor in 2023.
Charlie loves God's Word, the local church, and helping people discover who they are in Christ. He's passionate about making the truth of Scripture come alive in everyday life and leading Faith to be a church that loves God, loves one another, and loves the yet to believe.
Ben has lived in Fort Collins with his family for over 20 years now and been on staff at Faith for 10. He oversees our ministry teams and leads them with a wisdom and excitement to see what God will do in our community.
Valerie has filled a variety of staff roles at Faith Church since 2015 and now oversees communication, worship and tech teams. She is passionate about developing and releasing creatives to lead others into a deeper love of Jesus. Her prayer for Faith Church is to see a people wholeheartedly worshiping and living on everyday mission for Jesus.

The men who provide spiritual oversight and shepherd the direction of Faith Church.
Everything we do flows out of one simple mission: to help people take their next step toward Jesus — wherever they're starting from. We believe knowing Jesus leads to loving Him, and loving Him leads to following Him with our whole lives.
Our faith is rooted in the Bible and expressed in a community that welcomes everyone. Here are the core beliefs that shape everything we do.
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
God has spoken in the Scriptures, through the words of human authors in the collection of 66 books that make up the Old and New Testaments. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires and trusted in all that it promises.
God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice. Only through God's saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.
Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
As our perfect representative and substitute, Jesus shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.
The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ in all that He does. He convicts the world of its guilt, and regenerates sinners. In Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.
The true Church is comprised of all who have been justified by God's grace through faith. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head.
God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. In obedience to Christ's commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.
We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and motivates us to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and the believer to eternal blessedness with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth.
Our story goes back nearly a hundred years, to a faithful group of believers who gathered to worship as the Full Gospel Peoples' Tabernacle. In 1930, they began meeting on Whedbee Street — ordinary people with a simple desire to know God and make Him known.
In January of 1958, five families led the congregation to affiliate with the Evangelical Free Church of America, and Faith Evangelical Free Church of Fort Collins was born. Over the decades that followed, under the faithful leadership of Ernest Streed, Leroy Grimm and Jim Olsen, the church saw remarkable growth — so much so that in 2002 the congregation purchased land and built our current home at 3920 S Shields Street.
Nearly a century later, that same heart still beats at the center of who we are. From our earliest days to today, Faith Church has held fast to the preaching of God's Word, a passion for sharing the gospel and a commitment to helping people discover their calling in Christ within the warmth of real, everyday community.
